Duke Energy Progress, LLC (DEP) filed an application with the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSC) on June 12, 2025, to increase its electric rates charged to customers. If approved, an average residential consumer's monthly bill (using 1,000 kilowatt-hours per month) would increase by approximately $21.66 (~15%) per month; Small General Service customers would see an average increase of approximately 15.1%; Medium General Service customers would see an average increase of approximately 12.8%; and Large General Service customers would see an average increase of approximately 3.6%.

The case is scheduled to be considered by the PSC in October 2025, with new rates effective February 1, 2026.
