Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc. (DESC) filed an application with the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSC) on January 2, 2026, to increase its rates by approximately 12.73%. If approved, an average residential consumer's monthly bill (using 1,000 kilowatt-hours per month) would increase by approximately $19.98 per month.
The case is scheduled to be considered by the PSC in May 2026, with new rates effective in July 2026.
Consumers can fill out a Letter of Protest on the PSC’s website or attend public hearings and testify to participate in the case and voice their concerns.
