Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc. (DESC) filed an application with the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSC) on March 1, 2024, to increase its rates by approximately 14.21%. If approved, an average residential consumer's monthly bill (using 1,000 kilowatt-hours per month) would increase by approximately $18.86 per month. The case is scheduled to be considered by the PSC in July 2024, with new rates effective in September 2024.

If approved, the average residential consumer's monthly bill (using 1,000 kilowatt-hours per month) would increase by approximately $18.86 (~12.89%) per month beginning in September 2024. Commercial customers would see an average increase of approximately 12.32%, and industrial customers would see an average increase of approximately 12.68%.

How Can Consumers Participate?

  2. Attend Public Hearings and Testify
