Duke Energy Progress, LLC (DEP) filed its direct testimony with the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSC) on April 30, 2024, to change the amount it can charge customers for fuel used to generate power.
If approved by the PSC, the changes requested by DEP would result in a decrease of approximately $6.23 per month (~4.1%) for a typical Residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per month. The impacts for the average Residential and General Service (Non-Demand and Demand) customer will vary, as outlined in the PDF page below.
The case is scheduled to be considered by the PSC on June 25, 2024.
