
The Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSC) has scheduled two public hearings for the Palmetto Wastewater Reclamation, Inc. rate case. Consumers will be able to express their concerns in-person or virtually at these public hearings.
The public hearings will be held on the following dates:
- Monday, November 8, 2021 from 9 AM - 1 PM and 4 PM - 8 PM
- Tuesday, November 9, 2021 starting at 12 PM and proceeding as needed
Consumers can only testify (express concerns to Commissioners) during one of the public hearings and must pre-register before 4:00 PM on Friday, November 5th. To pre-register, consumers should:
- Email communications@psc.sc.gov, or
- Complete the survey, or
- Call (803) 896-5133
Consumers will be able to let the PSC know whether they will be attending in-person or virtually.
There are two options for those consumers that just want to listen in or view the public hearings.
- Consumers can call 1-855-797-9485.
- Consumers can watch the livestreamed public hearings.

About the PWR Rate Case
PWR filed an application to increase its rates by approximately 13.7% with the PSC in June 2021. The average residential consumer’s monthly bill would increase by $5.20 per month if approved. The case is scheduled to be considered by the PSC in November 2021.
