PSC Schedules Two Additional Public Hearings for Dominion Energy Rate Case

The Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSC) has scheduled two additional public hearings for the Dominion Energy South Carolina (DESC) rate case. Consumers will be able to testify or express their concerns at these public hearings.


The public hearings will be held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, January 5, 2021  |  1 - 6 PM
  • Thursday, January 7, 2021  |  6 – 9 PM


Consumers can testify:

  1. remote via telephone conference, or
  2. in-person in the PSC hearing room at 101 Executive Center Drive, Columbia, South Carolina

How to Testify

Consumers must pre-register before Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 4:45 PM. To pre-register, consumers can:

  1. e-mail, or
  2. call (803) 896-5133

Consumers should let the PSC know if they will be testifying via telephone conference or in-person and which day they would like to testify.

Consumers should provide their name and the telephone number that the PSC will call during the hearing to receive testimony. Consumers will be called in the order they signed up to speak.

If a consumer requests to testify in person, the PSC will let the consumer know when to enter the building, via a text or telephone call. The PSC will operate the public in-person hearings in accordance with appropriate DHEC or CDC guidelines. The PSC will arrange to clean before and after each consumer testifies and will only allow one consumer in the hearing room at a time.

Watching the Public Hearings

For those consumers that just want to listen in or watch, the public hearings will be livestreamed.
