Governor Henry McMaster has issued a state proclamation recognizing September 21-25, 2020 as Clean Energy Week in South Carolina.
In the proclamation, Gov. McMaster notes the importance of clean energy and says, “South Carolina has experienced tremendous success in the solar industry and has significant potential in the development of wind, biomass, and other clean energy technologies.”
National Clean Energy Week (NCEW) is an annual week-long celebration of clean energy innovation and focuses on celebrating solar, wind, wave, hydropower, nuclear, geothermal, natural gas, biomass, carbon capture, storage, and waste-to-energy technologies.
South Carolina is now one of nine states in the country to formally recognize National Clean Energy Week 2020. This marks the third consecutive year NCEW has been recognized by gubernatorial proclamation in the Palmetto State.
