Nanette Edwards, a 12-year veteran with the Office of Regulatory Staff (ORS), has been appointed as the agency’s second executive director.
Edwards has been with the ORS since 2005, serving as a staff attorney, Deputy General Counsel, Chief Counsel and Director of Legal Services before becoming the Deputy Executive Director in 2014.
Edwards will complete the remaining six-year term of former Executive Director Dukes Scott, who retired in 2017. That term began July 1, 2016, and runs until June 30, 2022.
In other staff moves effective Aug. 17, Dawn Hipp has been promoted to the agency’s Chief Operating Officer, and Jeff Nelson has been named Chief Legal Officer.
