Requests for public records pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) can be made in writing or online and may be submitted in person or by mail or fax. Please state that you are requesting the records under the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act. To assist ORS staff with the request and to better ensure a more accurate response, please be as specific as possible about the records you are requesting.

Fees
S.C. Code Section 30-4-30(b) also provides the ORS may establish and collect fees not to exceed the actual cost of searching for or making copies of records. These fees are subject to change and will include both the cost of reproduction and personnel costs for research and retrieval.
